Unilateral Reseller & Brand Protection Policy

Effective Date: [August 1, 2025]

Made For Dogs (“MFD”) is committed to protecting the integrity of our brand, trademarks, copyrighted materials, and the trust our customers place in us. To that end, we have unilaterally adopted this Brand Protection Policy (“Policy”). It applies to any person or entity (“Reseller”) that purchases MFD-branded products (“Products”) for resale or distribution.

Important: This Policy is non-negotiable and does not constitute a mutual agreement. MFD is not seeking a response or acceptance. However, failure to follow this Policy will result in a Reseller being labeled an Unauthorized Reseller and subject to the remedies listed below.

1. Authorized vs. Unauthorized Resellers

  • Authorized Reseller
    • Must complete our Authorized Retailer Application and receive written approval from MFD.
    • Must comply with this Policy, any separate reseller agreement, and all MFD guidelines (e.g., MAP, storage, handling, and warranty procedures).
  • Unauthorized Reseller
    • Any reseller who has not received written authorization from MFD.
    • Any reseller who violates this Policy.

2. No Third-Party Marketplace Sales

Resellers may NOT advertise, list, or sell MFD products on any third-party marketplaces, including but not limited to:

  • Amazon
  • eBay
  • Walmart Marketplace
  • Etsy
  • OfferUp
  • Facebook Marketplace
  • Any other similar platform

Selling or listing our Products on these sites automatically voids all MFD warranties and may trigger immediate enforcement actions (see Section 6).

3. Trademark & Copyright Usage

  • Resellers may reference the “Made For Dogs” name only to factually describe the Products (e.g., “We carry Made For Dogs collars”).
  • Resellers may not use MFD logos, taglines, or proprietary images without written permission.
  • Resellers must not shorten, alter, or combine the MFD name or marks with any other word, graphic, or brand.
  • All authorized uses must carry proper trademark attribution:
  • “Made For Dogs® is a registered trademark of Made For Dogs, LLC.”

4. Packaging & Product Integrity

  • Products must be sold only in their original packaging.
  • Resellers may not tamper with, relabel, re-bundle, or otherwise alter Product packaging, instructions, warranties, or UPCs.
  • All storage and handling must follow MFD guidelines to preserve product quality and safety.

5. Partner Brands (Third-Party Brands)

  • MFD is an authorized seller of certain third-party pet brands on our own platform.
  • Retail-only relationship. MFD may sell certain third-party pet brands directly to consumers on our own website. We are not a wholesaler, vendor, or distributor for those brands.
  • No authority to authorize. MFD cannot grant you authorization to resell any third-party brand. It is the reseller’s responsibility to contact the brand owner or its authorized distributor to obtain written approval.
  • Scope of MFD authorization. Any authorization issued by MFD applies only to MFD-branded products and is governed by this Policy and our wholesale terms. For details, please refer to our Wholesale page.
  • Your obligations with third-party brands. If you intend to resell any third-party brand, you must:
    • secure your own authorization directly from that brand (or its distributor), and
    • comply with that brand’s reseller agreement, MAP policy, trademark and marketing guidelines, packaging/handling rules, warranty procedures, and any channel restrictions.
  • Intellectual property. Use of third-party brands’ logos, images, or copy requires their written permission. MFD’s content permissions cover MFD assets only.
  • No implied rights. Nothing in this Policy, and no purchase from MFD, grants distribution rights, resale rights, territory rights, or marketing approvals for any third-party brand.

6. Enforcement & Remedies

If MFD determines—at its sole discretion—that a Reseller has violated this Policy, MFD may:

  • Immediately label the reseller as “Unauthorized.”
  • Void all MFD warranties on products sold by that reseller.
  • Refuse, cancel, or suspend orders without notice.
  • Report infringement to marketplace platforms or pursue legal remedies.
  • Seek damages or injunctive relief for trademark or copyright violations.

7. Policy Updates

MFD may modify or update this Policy at any time. Continued purchase or resale of MFD Products after an update constitutes acknowledgment of the revised terms.

8. Becoming an Authorized Reseller

Interested parties must complete our Authorized Retailer Application and receive written approval. To request an application, please email:

Made For Dogs can only review applications and grant authorization for the resale of Made For Dogs–branded products. We do not have the authority to approve or authorize the resale of products from other brands or partnered brands we carry. It is the sole responsibility of the Reseller to contact those brands directly to secure any required resale approvals for their products.

RESELLERS WHO FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THIS POLICY FORFEIT THE RIGHT TO SELL MADE FOR DOGS PRODUCTS.
