Give tangled coats a fresh start with the Safari Mat Remover—a serrated-blade tool that slices through stubborn knots and leaves long fur smooth and healthy.
Effortless Mat Removal
Stainless-steel, micro-serrated blades glide under dense knots and slice them apart, so you comb mats out instead of yanking at the skin.
Built for Coarse & Long Coats
Ideal for Doodles, Spaniels, and double-coated breeds whose undercoat welds itself into tight clumps.
Comfort-Grip Control
The ergonomic handle stays steady in wet or soapy hands, giving you precise leverage as you work behind ears, under arms, and along feathering.
Quick to Rinse & Reuse
Rinse blades after each session, shake dry, and tuck the slim 6.25-inch tool into a drawer or grooming tote.
Instructions
- Locate a mat and slide the blade edge between the tangle and the skin
- With the serrated side facing the mat, use short, gentle strokes in the direction of hair growth
- Comb out the loosened hair, then repeat as needed until the knot is gone
- Finish with a slicker or bristle brush to smooth the coat. (sold separately)
Safety
Use light pressure—let the blades do the cutting. Stop if skin reddens or your dog shows discomfort. Store out of reach of pets and children.

FAQ
Is it safe on sensitive skin?
Yes—when used with gentle strokes, the inward-facing serrations cut only hair, not skin.
Can I use it on a wet coat?
It works best on dry fur; towel-dry first if your dog is freshly bathed.
How often should I de-mat?
Only as needed—remove existing knots, then brush 2–3 times a week to prevent new ones.
